Serbai, until you've walked in another man's shoes, don't try to walk in them! This man lost his wife of 54 years! She has been gone 1 yr. He hasn't yet rediscovered himself, and his wife has been a part of him for a long time. It is hard not to think of someone dear to your heart when you have reached this degree of success. Been there,done that! They had a great act, and I agree with Simon. It was a difficult decision to make. Glad I didn't have to make that choice.

I appreciate ITV for showing us the decisions of Simon and Amanda, butWhy is Piers decision not shown???? I think you should show all decisions or none!!

I was dissapointed to say the least.. callum put on a real show and should have gone through. yes that girl can sing but then she didnt put a show .. what is x factor for or am i missing the point ? what was the silliest thing was that mans sob story.. we all have bad things happen to us and it should never be an excuse thank god they wont win and i hope he gets over himself in the meantime x

Oh my god... I finally googled the name Joolz Gianni and you were really right. What a shame!!! All those tears and talking about the last chance how to break through... that's just awful. I'm really disappointed and I think, that if anybody from the BGT crew reads the discussion, he should show it to the judges. That's unacceptable! Professional musician cannot win tha amateur talent show. I love BGT just because the people are so real. They just come and they want to give their talent a try...

I don't like Julian and I didn't like him from the fisrt moment. It is not difficult to play the saxophone that way. I bet that another hundred of british saxophonists sit at home and cry that they could become stars with playing easy and popular songs... 2 grand were fine, but not good enough to get to the final. This semi really disappointed me, my favourite was definitely Callum Francis. I hope he'll make a career in the West End. I think he doesn't need to attend such competition any more...

@hoaries, I agree. It's truly the deception that is most unpalatable. Some of these folks should profess a secondary talent: sentimental truth-twisting!

Thank you, Polly. I do intend to support every amateur act on the show, as I feel that they all deserve to advance for their decency and genuine stories. Anyone who has the class to remain as they are on such a lovely show will receive my blessing.
