39-year-old music teacher Julian Smith takes to the Britain's Got Talent stage with the ultimate goal of playing his Soprano Saxophone for a living. Although Simon's not in the greatest of moods before he begins, Julian certainly manages to his frown into a smile, as he realises he may have just discovered one of Britain's hidden talents

All I can say about Julian is Fantastic Fantastic Fantastic. Wow what a performance last night on the final of Britains Got Talent. This guy deserves everything that comes his way. I shall be waiting for his albums to appear. A true master of the sax and would love to see and hear him live. Absolutely fantastic and I really mean fantastic. Well done Julian and the very best of luck for the future.

To "drthorogood" you said; "Who cares about Julians past" Clearly he does if he has used a different name and deleted his myspace page and "he has a fantastic talent and I hope he wins" well the point of this show is for AMATEURS to have their big break, something Julian claims to have not had (because a record contract and performing with well known musicians in famous jazz clubs is not a big break) Julian is a liar who has decieved the country and does NOT deserve to win.

I keep seeing these sad comments by 99scs and it makes me wonder what 99scs is hiding. Could it be that you have know talent of your own and like so many other sad people in this country take pleasure in knocking anyone who dares to make something of themselves. Who cares about Julians past, he has a fantastic talent and I hope he wins.

Joolz, according to his own promo company has also appeared on t.v., and has played on well-known stages, including the Birmingham Symphony Hall and the world famous Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club (London and Birmingham). So, his claim that the biggest audience his played in was in some park in Birmingham for half-an-hour is a little misleading (not a lie, perhaps, but misleading).

I've noticed a number of my messages have been deleted also. Me thinks ITV doesn't like some of the comments that have been posted. I agree with maxschreck. 5 album deals just don't walk away. People lose them for a reason. Possibilities: 1) Sony didn't think Joolz had anything new to offer (one album was enough). 2) Joolz isn't that creative. It takes talent to play, it takes even more talent to compose, arrange and come up with new material. Joolz may not have what it takes.

maxschreck23/04/2009 23:31:03

soz, looks like my original message went walkies, i commented that julian had played since 1993 or abouts, for various bands/artists, some top ones like Tony Hadley(spandau ballet), what happened to the 5 album contract offered
