Wednesday's semi: results
Date added: 28/05/2008
All-important results from the third semi-final.

The final moments of yesterday's show provided a tense face-off between two hopeful dance acts.

The agonising wait for the announcement of tonight's results is also filled with fear and excitement. Who will Ant & Dec announce as tonight's overall winners - and which runner-up will the judges throw a final lifeline to? It's time to find out!

The acts in the running were:
Irresistible
Strike
Mary Halford March
Deans of Magic
Charlie Green
Urban Gypsies
Hoop la la
George Sampson

Grabbing the biggest vote on the night is George Sampson, who wowed the audience and judges alike earlier in the show with his effervescent street dance.

And grasping their final chance for the final are runners up Charlie Green and Strike. Who could choose between them? You don't have to... but the judges must!

Simon speaks first. "Charlie you were hampered by your song choice but you have huge potential. Strike you are unique, one of my favouite auditions. But as far as potential to win goes...Charlie.

Amanda: "I have no difficulty making this decision. I am 100% putting Strike through!"

Piers: "Okay... Strike".

Strike and George Sampson are the next two acts confirmed for the Britain's Got Talent final.

The stakes and high and the nerves keep on growing... but we will see George and Strike again on Saturday night. Hmm... hurrah!... and Strike have promised not wear tops... again.

Britain`s Got More Talent: Simon`s famous for his nasty put-downs - but surely there`s a nice side to him? Well here`s proof, but unfortunately, it is far outweighed by his nastyness...
