Wednesday's semi final: pt.2
Date added: 28/05/2008

We're halfway through Britain's Got Talent semi final three and things are looking rosy for young Charlie Green. Dressed in blue satin and singing a song by his dad's mate Cedric Whitehouse, he got a standing ovation from the audience and seemed to draw huge grins from the judges. It was certainly a risky performance - but would it pay off?

Piers was confused. "Everything about you says you're a star, but I'm not entirely sure that I liked the song that much - but I do like you".

Amanda nodded. "I think you're delicious and you are such a pro but I agree with Piers".

"You're a ten and the song was a two," said Simon. "It really upsets me because I want to see you in the final."

The next act on the stage are the smiling Urban Gypsies. The ladies had - ahem - plenty of support in the studio and their blend of colourful bellydancing brightened up the evening - but not Piers' night. Is there any act on stage he won’t offend tonight?

"I understand why men of Simon's generation but for me the younger generation, it's like watching your mum at The Chippendales. Toe-curling," said Piers.

"I'd like to see those pups in the final," said Simon ( in the hope that the countries older ladies will love him, no doubt!)

The three piece extravaganza of camp Hoop La la came next. If the judges were Holding out for a Hero then they need look no further - although Simon looked like he hadn't quite been convinced.

Not only did the dancing impress, and Craig ended up dancing on the ceiling at one point - but the hula hoops were knock-out with their glow in the dark twirls - Yes! Can we sign up for them, please?

"They are bloody brilliant!" squealed Amanda. "Everything was so wrong which made it so right," said Simon. "You have won me over!"

The Final act of tonight's show was 14 year-old street dancer George Sampson from Warrington. George's return to Britain's Got Talent has been triumphant - and his Singing in the Rain urban mix was a storming success as he swooshed his brolly around amid a torrent of applause!

Once Dec had read out the vote rules and the audience had finally, finally stopped cheering, George said, "That was the best. It doesn't get better than that!"

The judges agreed. Piers gave a history lesson, "Sir Winston Churchill said 'never give up' and you never gave up. You were winning in the rain".

"I want it for you as badly as you do," said Amanda through her tears. And Simon reasoned, "We know this could change your life. You get my vote. You were terrific".

You have now seen all the act who will perform this evening and of those acts, only two can progress to Saturday's Grand Final. It's up to the public to decide who should go through - and don't forget you can voice your opinions and leave your comments at the bottom of this story, below....

Britain`s Got More Talent: Simon`s famous for his nasty put-downs - but surely there`s a nice side to him? Well here`s proof, but unfortunately, it is far outweighed by his nastyness...
