We're on Britain's Got Talent's second semi final and if Simon's hangover wasn't hurting before we've got the perfect act for him - the street performance percussion group Bang On.
Dave and Katie use pots, pans, watering cans and dustbin lids as instruments. They bash their way through the latest track by Madonna and Justin Timberlake... but were the judge impressed in their Four Minute chance for of fame?
Mmn... no. Not really... but Amanda, at least, loved it, telling the grumpy Piers, "You're talking out your... bin!"
Cornwall dance group Flava have had loads of press since they appeared on the audition shows and now Kyle, his mates and his mum. It was a hard-rocking display of dance merging backing tracks from Timbaland and Chaka Khan... but there is no masking talent... and Piers reckoned, "You are the most naturally gifted dance aft we've seen!"
"I really hope the public vote for you tonight," said a smiling Simon.
We all need a few magic moments in our lives and the next performer is certainly the man to provide them. Retired surgeon Sauris Nandi is making sure his skilful hands remain gainfully employed as he and his beautiful assistant performed. Somehow or other is assistant was transported from a big basket on the back of the stage to the back of the auditorium hall. Everyone was stunned into silence... But our hard to please judges weren't impressed. "There is something underneath the basket" says Piers. And I'm guessing it's related to you!" Huh?
The final act of the show is 13 year-old chorister Andrew Johnston. "This is the biggest night of my life," he says. When he stands up on the stage, the pressure on him is huge. And there wasn't a dry eye in the house after his rendition of Eric Clapton's Tears in Heaven. His voice is clear strong and beautiful... and Simon and Amanda are seen silently absorbing every note. "I just hoped they liked it," said an emotional Andrew.
"I think you are the favourite to win the whole competition," says Piers.
"You did make me tear up but I managed to hold it together," said Amanda.
"The first third was shaky. Then halfway thorough you got your confidence up. You are a very talented young man," said Simon.
That's it then - you've seen all the acts in tonight's second semi final - and the choice is up to you. No act - no matter what the judges are thinking is guaranteed a place in the final. What will the final result be?
