Having a ball

Jeremy proves life is a ball

He's played to audiences of thousands but no-one in the crowd - until now - had any idea of his name.

Jeremy Lynch stunned the judges with his football free styling skills, but the Britain's Got Talent team are just the latest appreciative audience to recognise this 20 year-old's skills.

Romford lad Jeremy became the keepy-uppy King of London and the South East aged just 13 and now owns the somewhat niche but nevertheless impressive title of Best Freestyler in Europe.

He's hardly a household name but the Arsenal fan - who still dreams of being a professional footballer - has travelled the world showcasing his skills, appearing at corporate events, as half-time entertainment at Wembley and St James Park, and even as a body double in famous football gear adverts.

"I've been Ashley Cole", he admits. You see, he's no stranger to hanging out with top-level players - but most of their time together is spent as he and his free styling chums are employed to make the big stars look better than they are at footballing tricks.

Jeremy and his mates even appear in a low-budget movie which came out last year. The documentary In the hands of the Gods see the British boys travel from New York to Buenos Aires, trying meet their hero Diego Maradona, and earning their passage by busking all the way.

"The trip was tough for me as I had to confront many things I found difficult and challenging," says Jeremy, who got exhausted by performing in the equatorial heat.

Luckily the Leicester Square and Cannes premieres for their movie were ever so cool. The tricksy players performed after the Cannes screening for stars including a bemused looking Jessica Simpson, Jude Law and even Cesc Fabregas, who cheered.

He's been building his career bit by bit, slowly. But now, thanks to Britain's Got Talent, Jeremy is out to make a household name for himself, quick.

Walking up to the spot and knowing he'd only one shot to strike lucky must've been daunting, but Jeremy didn't flinch.

In fact, so far, it looks like he's having a ball!
