The Mirror reports that Susan Boyle will bid to become a modern day Audrey Hepburn after recording a "breathtaking" version of Moon River from the hit film Breakfast At Tiffanys.
The Scottish star revealed to The Mirror that she is now halfway through her debut album.
And amongst the pick of the tracks she has recorded so far is her version of the 1961 Academy Award winning song.
A source close to Susan, 48, told The Mirror: "Susan's version of this song is fantastic and her fans will love it.
"Older listeners will remember it from Breakfast At Tiffanys but for younger fans of Britain's Got Talent, Susan will sound like a more modern Hepburn.
"It is a breathtaking version of the track and just shows what her voice is capable of."
The Mirror reports that Susan has been working at a secret London location in a bid to be on course to release an LP before the end of the year.
She sifted through 350-400 possible tunes and has vowed to make her album appeal to as wide an audience as possible.
Her mentor Simon Cowell said to The Mirror: "We're not going to throw out some souvenir album of show tunes.
"She's going to surprise a lot of people with this record."
