Britain’s Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle may not have made a living from her singing just yet – but that hasn’t stopped her making the most of her talents.

Susan is now a world-wide sensation – but her singing talents first appeared much closer to home.

She told us: “I do sing at church – and I also do a bit of amateur dramatics. I sing everywhere I can, to anybody who will really listen. They would be better off with a budgie though, do you not think?”

“I even performed at the Edinburgh Festival once, on the fringe. I was in a production of Romeo and Juliet. Was I Juliet? I don’t know what I was supposed to be. The tights were an embarrassment. But it was a laugh-a-minute magical for kids”.

If Susan makes it far enough in this competition, however, her audience won’t be school kids – it’d be Her Majesty the Queen! And that would suit Susan just fine.

She said, “Whatever comes my way, I am ready. It would be lovely to sing for the Queen. There would be less of the carry on from me, and more of the singing”.

“She is a very regal lady, very nice, so I would be nice too, and just get up there and give it a bit of wellie.”

And Susan isn’t worried that the showbiz life would send her off the rails like so many stressed-out stars before her. She laughs, “It’s a challenge.  Life is a challenge sometimes but this is different. And I like to test myself”.

“If it all gets too much and they lock me up, I want a great big straight jacket with spots on it. A pink one…”

“…And a big zip on the back so I can escape!”

Can Susan make it to meet the Queen? Let us know below!

Susan, You have meant so much to me, just hearing your beautiful voice on video. I am a shut in, and your music is an uplifting part of my day. I am praying for you to have a speedy recovery and that you might once again astound this world with your voice. Never change, Susan. Your personality and unique wit are a part of your charm. I know you will one day get to sing before the Queen. Love from the USA. Mary

Susan once comes the day that you meet the queen. But before you meet her, you will meet the President of the Unites States first!

Dear Ms. Boyle, just wanted to leave a word of thanks for lifting me on an especially low day. In fact, I've heard that lovely voice of yours in my head ever since. You are indeed a special one. All the very best and speedy recovery. God bless!

Susan Boyle is one of the most moving performers to appear in ages. A super talent worthy of the praise heaped upon her. I couldn't be more disgusted with BGT's mishandling of Susan and for turning her dream into a nightmare. No one should be admitted to hospital because of a greedy talent show's desire for bigger ratings. I was so concerned when I saw her perform clearly under extreme duress. I'm afraid they have killed the goose that laid the golden egg. My heart bleeds for Susan.

You won Susan!!! Can't wait for your CD.Hope it's soon. You were gracious to Diversity but they're a flash in the pan. Nothing more. You're a real talent and we love you in the States. The True Winner. No i didn't leave any snide comments for the teenage cheerleading squad but i didn't leave any compliments either. That's up to the folks that think they're terrific.Just don't have them come to the US.We have enough of this stuff here already. We want REAL talent. You're it Susan!!God bless you!

Susan, I have never been moved to such a degree with your singing. Please get a CD out so we can purchase it. I listened to the original singer of "I dream a dream" and I like your version so much better! Love the song and love the person! Good luck!
