Where are they now?

Find out what the finalists from Series 2 have been up to since we last saw them...

George Sampson

Since winning the second series last summer, the dancing feet of young George have barely touched the ground, due to his incredibly busy schedule.

He made his stage debut in the West End hip-hop musical Into The Hoods, he brought out a double-A-side music CD, released his own dance DVD, and became the new face of NatWest bank’s 11-18 account for young people.

He topped a fantastic year by performing at the 2008 Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium in front of Prince Charles.

Signature

The Michael Jackson fused with Bhangra dance act have enjoyed notable success since finishing runners-up in last year’s show.

After joining the rest of their fellow finalists on the Britain’s Got Talent nationwide Live Tour, Suleman and Madhu are reportedly set to become the new faces of Virgin Media’s Bollywood on Demand TV service.

The pair were also confirmed as special guest performers for the recent X Factor Live Tour.

Andrew Johnston

When choirboy Andrew Johnston returned from the Britain’s Got Talent Live Tour he was given a recording contract by Simon Cowell’s company, Syco.

His debut album One Voice smashed its way into the UK music chart reaching No. 4 when it was released in September last year, and he received a Gold Disc for selling over 100,000 copies.

As well as performing at Andrew Lloyd Webber’s birthday celebrations, Andrew has visited a number of schools to talk about his experience of bullying in an attempt to help other victims.

Kate and Gin

Everybody’s favourite dog act have been in high demand since bowing out from last year’s grand final, with a string of appearances at public shows and sponsored events.

In October last year a book about the duo entitled Kate and Gin was published, giving readers expert tips on what it takes to train a dog. “It’s about me and Gin growing up together, and how to train dogs like I’ve trained Gin,” explains Kate.

She has also appeared on Alan Carr’s Celebrity Ding Dong, Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live, and even found time to appear in a Christmas pantomime.

Faryl Smith

Another youngster who returned from the Live Tour and signed a recording contract. The young girl with the angelic voice has recently released her debut album.

She also got to fulfil a lifelong ambition when she performed at the Royal Albert Hall alongside her singing idol, Katherine Jenkins.

Escala

The sexy girls from this electronic string quartet signed a record deal with Sony BMG shortly after making it to the live final of the series 2.

Since then they have helped Sky Sports promote their coverage of the 2008/2009 football season, and have performed at the F.A Community Shield match between Manchester United and Portsmouth at Wembley Stadium.

Their debut album is set for release later this year.

Strike

Since performing on last year’s show martial arts experts Liam and Danny haven’t stopped kicking and punching the air in tandem.

The South Yorkshire lads appeared as pirates in a long running production of Peter Pan at The Opera House, Manchester, starring alongside Hollyoaks babe Gemma Atkinson.

The pair set up their own Strike website where their fans can follow step-by-step training advice and buy official Strike merchandise; they also helped switch on Manchester Christmas lights at the Trafford Centre.

Andrew Muir

Affectionately nicknamed the Singing Plumber, Andrew has hung up his spanners (temporarily at least), and has hooked up with PR guru Max Clifford.

The young Scot is planning on releasing his debut album later this year after Clifford helped set up meetings with some top industry figures within the music world.

Andrew reportedly turned down an apprenticeship with theatre impresario Bill Kenwright, stating he would rather record an album than tread the boards.

Cheeky Monkeys

After twisting and bopping their way into the hearts of the nation Charlie Dixon and Krista Hyatt have been a busy pair of monkeys.

When they weren’t attending classes at Laneshawbridge Primary School, and Park County Primary School, respectively, they were carrying on their flight to stardom.

Not only did the pair shoot scenes to appear in a feature length movie due out this Christmas called, The Nativity, they were also invited to New York to appear on the Maury Povich TV show World’s Most Talented Kids.
