About the act
All of Kate’s family are involved with dog handling and the family live with 10 dogs. Kate’s grandma used to train and show Golden Retrievers, her Mum is a part time dog handler, her dad trains gun dogs and her sister is training to be a vet. Kate got Gin when she was 10 and has trained her from a pup and so far Kate has dedicated her life to competing. Kate and Gin have competed in CRUFTS together and have won a CG Certificate. Kate’s dream is to become a top judge at CRUFTS. Kate entered Britain’s Got Talent to show off her canine freestyle.

Amanda: I’m speechless. The most talented animal I’ve ever seen. Routine is slick, Gin is a little genius
Piers:  I’ve seen stupid animals in Britain but the dog is a genius. We have to consider the prospect of a non human winning Britain’s Got Talent.
Simon: All my life I’ve searched for another Lassie and now I’ve found him.

Q&A
When did you first discover you had your talent?
It was about eighteen months ago whilst teaching Gin new tricks and we started freestyling, it is all self taught.

What would you do with the prize money?
I would love to set up a dog training school which trains animals to be in the movies or on TV.

Who is your inspiration?
I don’t really have one; I love animals and especially dogs.

What is the ultimate dream?
I’d love to tour the world with Gin – that would be so wonderful.

Before BGT what was your biggest claim to fame?
Gin entered Crufts and we did a few competitions and demonstrations

Who do you think has great talent (beside yourself) also in the competition this year?
I thought Signature were great, really original and fun
