She’s the pint-sized singer with the soulful voice – meet Dionne Broomfield. Luckily for us, the little firecracker was in the studio yesterday to watch the telly-tastic show and perform for BGMT.
Here, the lovely lass lifts the lid on the inimitable Mr Zip and why Alesha is her favourite Judge.
Who stood out for you tonight?
I love Mr Zip. It’s such a shame he didn’t go through as he’s written a national anthem! I went to a party the other night and someone played a remixed version of his song. Everyone was dancing and rapping along to it.
What about the pawsome Ashleigh and Pudsey?
Awww! Who wouldn’t love Pudsey? He’s sooo cute.
‘Fess up – do you have a favourite Judge?
Alesha, she’s so down to earth, really relatable and always looks stunning. I love her outfit tonight. As for David Walliams, I can't look at him without laughing and thinking of his Little Britain characters. He cracks me up!
If you were to audition for BGT, what would you do?
I’d perform a soul number. My influences are Marvin Gaye and of course, Amy Winehouse. She will always be a role model to me – she was an amazing talent who influenced everyone. I’m doing okay at the moment and focusing on my music. Amy’s still here watching over me - I feel her presence.
