After a whopping 60,000 auditions, five Semi-Finals and one Live Final – Britain’s Got Talent finally found a shaggy haired superstar in Pudsey and his loyal trainer, Ashleigh.
During the eight week televisual extravaganza; we swooned over the utterly scrummy Sam Kelly and Loveable Rogues and doused ourselves in sequins thanks to The Showbears. We were also wowed by some synchronised swimming courtesy of Aquabatique and moved to the point of tears by a stellar performance from Only Boys Aloud.
We’ve since caught up with Ashleigh and Pudsey to discuss their plans to conquer Hollywoof, (oops we ‘Hollywood’). The furry fella has been lapping up all the attention since his victorious win – but the pampered pooch may need to take a paws from all the promotional work as he’s dog tired. Ashleigh told us: ‘Pudsey has had a fab week but he could do with a couple of days rest. Since I told him I’ll be splitting my £500,000 win with him, he has been barking all the way to the bank!’
Upon meeting the big boss, Ashleigh added: ‘Pudsey made Simon wait 30 minutes to meet him. Simon sat Pudsey on his lap, but Pudsey was like “whatever!” I can’t wait to come up with new routines and wish to thank the public once again for all their amazing support. Pudsey would also like to try his paw at acting, so watch out Uggie!’
With the likes of Jonathan and Charlotte, Molly Rainford and Ryan O'Shaughnessy all set to score record deals – we can safely say that this series of BGT has been one of the most exciting and entertaining yet.
It’s at this point we wish to say a mahoosive thank you to you, our loyal BGT fans. Whether it came to welcoming the new Judges or supporting your acts all the way to the Live Shows, your loyalty and involvement has been second to none.
But sadly (mega sobs) the time has come to bid you farewell until we return in a blaze of glory in 2013.
