Crikey! Just how redonkulously good was last night’s show?
Like an emotional roller-coaster, we switched from crying to laughing at an alarming rate.
Here, the delectable Alesha Dixon talks about comforting Malakai and counting down to the Live Shows…
Did you enjoy last night’s episode?
Yes. I loved The Jive Aces. They were fun and carefree – they really put us in a good mood.
What did you say to Malakai on stage?
My heart went out to the little guy. You could see how nervous he was and my main concern was his welfare. I went over to give him a hug and whisper some words of encouragement in his ear. I told him: ‘You don’t have to do this if you don’t want to.’ He had fire in his eyes and I could see he really wanted to be there. What a brave little boy.
Did anyone else stand out?
I liked the comedian Callum Oakley, he was very funny and his routine was packed with punch-lines. It’s hard to make a crowd laugh and he was possibly one of the better stand-ups we saw. I could see him doing well in the future.
The Live Shows kick off next Sunday…
It’s going to be so much fun. I’m looking forward to the glamour and glitz, and the energy we’ll be seeing on stage. I’m also naturally nervous for the contestants – I really want them to do well.
Are you looking forward to seeing the other Judges?
Yes, but if Simon and David talk over me again rest assured I’ll be telling them to shut up. I can’t wait to hang out with Amanda, too. We’ll be able to show people once and for all how well we get on.
