All the magic from the first Live Semi Final in pictures

Wow! HOW gorgeous did our fabulous four Britain’s Got Talent Judges look as they took to the panel on the first night of the Live Semi Finals? With Simon and David in dapper suits and Amanda and Alesha rocking stunning couture creations, even Ant & Dec couldn’t resist complimenting them. Mighty fine!

Zipparah ‘Mr Zip’ Tafari returned with a beefed-up version of THAT song. Surrounded by grooving dancers, the rapping sensation had Alesha dancing once more with his catchy tune of Where Me Keys, Where Me Phone.

And the Judges had plenty to say about his performance, with Miss Dixon insisting that ‘everyone is talking about Zipparah’ and Simon calling him ‘the best song salesman I have ever met’. 

The Jive Aces brightened up the BGT stage in their trademark yellow suits and a feel-good rendition of Jungle Book classic Bare Necessities. Unfortunately the Judges weren’t all that impressed, with Simon claiming they hadn’t stepped up their game enough while David doubted they could win the show.

Lauren Thalia wowed the Judges with a cool acoustic version of Labrinth hit Earthquake, strummed on her guitar. Our fab four Judges loved it as much as we did, heaping high praise on the budding starlet.  David called her a ‘star of tomorrow’ while Simon described the 12-year-old as ‘fearless and cool’.

After an impressive audition, United We Stand failed to impress the Judges with their Romeo and Juliet-themed performance. Two buzzers from the panel followed frank criticism, with Amanda calling their routine ‘repetitive and full of mistakes’, while Simon branded it ‘boring’. Ouch!

Saucy violinist Analiza Ching wowed us with another fast and furious piece, taking on Foo Fighters classic, The Pretender. The Judges LOVED it, with David calling her performance ‘wonderful’ and Amanda describing her act as ‘very sexy, very good’.

The Mend returned to BGT with an epic mash-up of Cutting Crew’s I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight and Tinie Tempah’s Written In The Stars. The band got rave reviews for their unique take on the two songs, with Alesha saying they ‘could get signed today’ and Simon adding that they could fill a gap in the market.

Soulful singer Rachel Knowland chose Dirty Dancing sing-along classic Be My Baby for her Semi Final performance. Unfortunately, the Judges claimed she played it too safe with Simon calling her performance somewhat 'forgettable’.

The simply adorable Ashleigh and Pudsey made our hearts melt once more as they delivered a 1920s-inspired performance for their big moment in the Semi Final.  Dog lover Simon declared he ‘loved it’ and David branded the pawsome duo ‘the new Torvill and Dean’. LOLZ!

Male choir Only Boys Aloud raised the roof with their rousing rendition of Welsh anthem Gwahodiadd. Following their inspirational performance, Amanda promptly declared them ‘the voices of Britain’.

Wow-zers. A smokin’ hot Tulisa stopped by to tear up the BGT stage with a raucous performance of her first solo single, Young. 

It was time to announce the three acts in with a chance of going straight through to the BGT Final. The lovely Ant & Dec had us biting our nails into oblivion before they announced Ashleigh and Pudsey, The Mend and Only Boys Aloud as the top three…

We jumped for joy to see the uber-cute Ashleigh and Pudsey go straight through to the Final as the favourite of the three acts. The Judges were then torn between Only Boys Aloud and The Mend, so the decision fell to the highest public vote – it was Only Boys Aloud.
