All the best bits from the last BGT Semi Final in pictures

Looking super-glam as per, our fab four took a moment to reflect on the past week of Semi Finals and the Live Show ahead of them. Strict Amanda explained that because tonight’s acts had the most time to rehearse, she was expecting nothing but the best. And Simon predicted, ‘It’s going to be an interesting evening.’ Too right!

Talk about upping your game, eh? Basketball stunt crew Face Team literally reached new heights as they plunged themselves off a ginormous metal construction onto a trampoline to perform all sorts of eye-watering stunts mid-air. From backflips to slam dunks, their fearless, energetic performance had it all.

The Judges gave them rave reviews for their risky routine, with Amanda describing their performance as ‘flawless’ and Simon calling it ‘outstanding’.

Clever clogs Greig Stewart conducted a symphony of light beams on his unusual instrument, the Laser Harp. Who knew that you could play some of the biggest dance tracks on colourful lasers?

He got Alesha and David up and dancing, but Simon and Amanda hit their buzzers. David declared that ‘the kids are getting down to the laser harp,’ but Alesha worried that ‘Queenie might not appreciate it’.

Wowzers! Circus School student Billy George impressed us with his effortless acrobatics while twirling around on a big hoop. Oh, and his pecs aren’t too shabby either! Our fab four were suitably impressed, with David complimenting his ‘sense of fun and personality’ and Simon describing the act as ‘brilliant’. Our BGT ladies loved it! We wonder why…

OMG! Where do we even start? Wearing a sparkling saucepan on his head, Martyn Crofts lit up the stage with his upbeat Doctor Who rap, delivered in the voice of a Dalek. And as if that wasn’t amazing enough already, he was joined by a troupe of the rainbow-coloured robots.

David, Alesha and Amanda got caught up in the hilarious act and predicted a global Dalek revolution, but Simon called it ‘insane beyond belief’.

Wow wow wow. Hope Murphy raised the roof off the BGT studio with her powerful rendition of Bob Dylan’s Forever Young. Her crystal clear voice and stripped-back performance sent us straight to goose-bump central. Our fab four love-love-loved it too, with Simon likening the 16-year-old to a young Adele.

Strictly Wheels Paula and Gary whirled across the BGT stage in a heartwarming and charming choreography, proving once more that there is no stopping this dynamic duo. The inspirational pair got positive feedback, but the Judges agreed that their performance had been more daring at their audition.

The Aquabatique water ballet beauties caused a splash with their stunning underwater choreography as they dived, jumped and moved gracefully through their tank to a medley of James Bond theme tunes. The swimming starlets wowed the Judges, who loved the spy theme and original choreography - and the skimpy costumes perhaps?

Be still, our beating hearts! The dreamy Ryan O’Shaughnessy returned to the BGT stage with another heartbreakingly stunning song, delivered on his acoustic guitar. Any chance First Kiss was written for us?

He may not have got his fairytale ending with his mystery girl, but the Judges predicted a bright future for the songwriter. David described Ryan’s original material as ‘the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard’, while Alesha said she would love to hear a whole album from the Irish lad

Poor Rebecca must have taken the saying ‘break a leg’ a little too literally, as she bravely performed Teach Me How To Be Loved with her sore leg propped up on a stool. As ever, her beautiful vocals did all the talking.

Tick, tock - it’s decision o’clock! Our loveable duo Ant & Dec revealed the top three to be Ryan O’Shaughnessy, Aquabatique and Billy George. And with Ryan voted straight into the Final by the public vote, the Judges had to make their toughest call yet as they decided who would go through. There must have been something in the water, as our fab four voted 3-1 in Aquabatique’s favour.
