Ouuuch!! He might have ‘trained like a nutter’ but Mickey Gooch’s dangerous and daring one-fingered press-ups weren’t enough to win over the judges.

And although the 54-year-old painter and decorator’s dreams of performing at the Royal Variety may be on hold, he raved that he was ‘thrilled and honoured’ to meet Amanda, Michael and The Hoff.

This beats the hell out of America’s Got Talent! That’s what the Hoff had to say after granddad and granddaughter singing duo Ted & Grace dazzled the Manchester crowds with an inspired musical mash-up.

“The Queen will love it!” raved the Hoff.

Amanda hailed them brilliant, saying: “I really enjoyed it. It was a brilliant, entertaining act.”

Elsewhere, Michael was keen to see the double-act made into action figure dolls!

His performance might have been somewhat lost on The Hoff (Kevin Webster, who?) but Les Gibson’s brilliant impressions had the audience on their feet!

With a repertoire featuring the likes of BGT hosts Ant & Dec, Lord Alan Sugar and EastEnders hardman Ross Kemp, the 41-year-old has been working the club and holiday park circuit for 13 years. 

And his experience certainly shone through with Michael praising his ‘versatile and diverse range’.

Oh dear Elaine! She might make a delicious soup but unfortunately her stand-up left a bad taste in the judges mouths. And the crowd weren’t exactly impressed either, chanting ‘Off Off’ until the comic made a dash for the door. 

Wow! 28-year-old Razy Gogonea’s took to the stage in a bid to make his girlfriend proud. Little did he know he’d bring the audience to tears!

The panel were completely blown away by the Romanian body popper’s Matrix-style manoeuvres.

Michael told him: “You just did things I've never seen humans do. You ARE Neo from The Matrix!”

Next up were another singing duo - 20-year-old Pippa Langhorne and her dog Buddy who entered the show via the YouTube auditions.

The double act impressed the judges with their rendition of Pie Jesu.

Michael said: "We never know what to expect, but this was very surprising,

"I mean, who knew that was going to happen? And the audience loved it right off the bat, as soon as Buddy belted his head back, 'ooooooooo.'

"Congratulations, well done."

Nursery rhymes will never be the same again after Edward Reid’s rousing performance!

The 35-year-old drama teacher’s mash-up of kids’ favourites caught the attention of the panel who praised his inventive audition which featured Humpty Dumpty to the tune of the Snow Patrol smash hit Run.

“Nobody saw that coming,” said Michael, adding: “I can see you getting booked for Elton John's son's first birthday party.”
