BACKGROUND: Steven started in amateur dramatics in his twenties and now regularly takes part in local talent competitions and pantomimes. He says his performance is inspired by a YouTube video called ‘Evolution of Dance’ which mixes modern dancing with older tracks. A main influence for Steven is Norman Wisdom and he often looks back at his films and stage performances for inspiration. He compares himself to Steve Coogan because of his extensive character work and thinks they have the same ‘mundane but funny humour’.
No matter what he is doing Steven loves to entertain and says Britain’s Got Talent is an opportunity to get more work and recognition and to get somebody else’s opinion, something he really appreciates.
Steven was brought up on a farm in Cumbria and works part time at a telecommunications company.
